ALGINATE
Alginate is a natural polysaccharide extracted from brown seaweeds. It is mainly made up of guluronic and mannuronic acid units.Our range includes sodium alginates (E 401), potassium alginates (E 402), ammonium alginates (E 403), calcium alginates (E 404) and PGA (E 405).

CARRAGEENANS
Carrageenans are extracts of red seaweeds. There are three categories of carrageenans depending on the origin of the seaweed used: Kappa, Iota, Lambda.Refined carrageenans (E 407) differ from semi-refined carrageenans (E 407a) owing to their manufacturing process.
The AGI range comprises all types of carrageenans.

GUAR
Guar is a natural polysaccharide extracted from the endosperm of the guar seed (Cyamopsis tetragonolobus), and is obtained by a mechanical and thermal process. It mainly consists of galactopyranose and mannopyranose units combined by means of glucosidic linkages.AGI proposes all food grades of guar gum (E 412), low and high viscosities as well as the derivatives for technical applications (carboxymethylguar, hydroxypropylguar).

CAROB
Carob (E 410) is a natural polysaccharide extracted from the endosperm of the carob seed. It mainly consists of galactopyranose and mannopyranose units combined by means of glucosidic linkages.

TARA
Tara (E 417) is a thickening and stabilising agent that belongs to the galactomannan family. It is obtained by mechanical crushing of the endosperm of the seeds of the Tara tree (Caesalpinia spinosa), and mainly consists of galactopyranose and mannopyranose units combined by means of glucosidic linkages.
Strong synergies when combined with carrageenan or xanthan gum. Reduced costs.
CASSIA
Cassia is a natural polysaccharide extracted from Cassia Obtusifolia/Tora seeds. This polysaccharide belongs to the family of leguminous plants used in the food industry such as guar gum, tara gum and carob gum.We are developing this pure product under two different brand names :
MATCOL R, refined cassia gum for the food industry (E 427),
MATCOL GM15, standard cassia gum for the pet food industry (E 499).

XANTHAN
Xanthan gum is an anionic polysacharride obtained by fermenting a carbon hydrate with natural strains of Xanthomonas campestries. It contains D-Glucose and D-Mannose as well as D-Glucuronic acid and Pyruvic acid.AGI proposes a wide range of food grade xanthan gums (E 415) as well as technical grades.

High viscosities, formation of gels when combined with carrageenan or xanthan gum, satiety agent.
KONJAC
Konjac is a natural polysaccharide obtained from the bulbs of the Konjac plant. It consists of glucose and mannose.AGI proposes the standard grade (E 425i) and the refined grade (E 425ii) in its product range.

CELLULOSICS
AGI proposes cellulosic derivatives such as methylcellulose (E 461) or carboxymethyl cellulose (E 466) used in food applications, and also cellulosic derivatives for technical applications such as hydroxyethyl cellulose.

PSYLLIUM
Psyllium is obtained by extraction from the psyllium seed and is used as a water retention agent in food and pharmaceutical applications.AGI proposes food, cosmetic and technical grades.

Tamarind is a natural polysaccharide extracted from the tamarind seed by means of a mechanical and thermal process.Tamarind is used in animal feed and in technical industries.

KARAYA GUM
Karaya gum is a dried exudate extracted from Sterculia urens trees (Sterculiaceae family) above all found in India. Karaya gum is a complex of polymers, partially acetylated, with about 37% of uronic acid residues and 8% acetyle groups.AGI proposes Karaya gum (E 416) grades 1, 2 and 3 according to the viscosity desired.

Sodium hyaluronate is the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. It has a unique, extremely long molecular structure consisting of guluronic acid and N-acetylglucosamine units.AGI proposes grades with different molecular weights for cosmetic, food and pharmaceutical applications.
